Surfacing manufacturer Formica Group has introduced Aria, a range of solid laminate worktops in 12mm and 20mm thicknesses.
Aria features a solid, colour-matched core and was developed in response to demand from kitchen studios and consumers for an alternative to natural and engineered stone.
There are three colour palettes: natural whites, cool greys and modern blacks.

These offer a choice of 15 stone, granite and marble decors, plus patterns and plan colours, influenced by AMA’s UK Kitchen Studio Survey.
Constructed in one piece, Aria worktops can be used with undermounted sinks and can incorporate drainer grooves.
Aria allows for a mitre joint to be cut for a smoother edge finish and can be matched with verticals including splashbacks, cabinets and doors.
The worktops, which are finished with a slight chamfer and polished edge, can be cut on site and installed using standard tools.
Formica Group was recently acquired by Broadview Holding.
Sintered stone manufacturer Neolith has launched Calacatta Roma and Cappadocia Sunset, inspired by nature and classical architecture, and for use in kitchens or bathrooms walls, floors, in gardens or facades.
They belong to The New Classtone and Fusioncollections which interpret marble and natural stone, respectively, and boast Neolith’s antibacterial NeolEAT technology.
Inspired by Ancient Rome, Calacatta Roma (pictured top) pays homage to Italian Carrara marble, with ochre and grey veins in a white background.
While the Cappadocia region, in central Turkey, with its rock formations formed by volcanoes and underground cities, has inspired Cappadocia Sunset (pictured below).
Just like all of Neolith’s surfaces, Calacatta Roma and Cappadocia Sunset are resistant to heat and atmospheric conditions, are 100% recyclable, and do not contain added quartz to their formulation.
