Sink, tap and appliance manufacturer Franke has launched the Maris Drip Free cooker hood, as part of its UK offer.
The hood features a heated glass panel and an additional heating element at the bottom which combats condensation.
It works by tackling the moisture caused by the temperature difference between the hob’s hot cooking surface and colder air under the hood which causes water droplets to form.

Suitable for use with any type of hob, the Maris Drip Free hob is especially useful for induction hobs which have boosts of temperature used during cooking.
The high-performance hood can be fitted for ducted extraction or in recirculating mode with a charcoal filter.
Measuring 900mm wide, the hood comes in textured black with a glossy black control panel and offers three speed setting plus intensive mode.
The Maris Drip Free Hood has a 56db sound level, an extraction rate of 600m3/h at the maximum setting and is A energy rated.
Franke has also added a vented hob to its Maris range with Maris 2gether.
