With a focus on smart technology, appliance brand Hisense has introduced 5S laundry which includes a washer, dryer and washer dryer.

The smart washing and drying machines include auto dosing, fast programmes and steam, and can be used with the company’s ConnectLife app.

Using auto dosing, the Hisense 5S Series washing machine can choose optimum amount of detergent and softener, according to the weight of the clothes in the drum, and hold up to 24 loads of detergent.

In addition, the A-energy rated washer boasts multiple fast-washing programmes, including a quick wash programme and half-load washes.

In addition, it boasts steam, which is claimed to eliminate 99.9% of Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus attached to the clothes.

Using ion treatment, the Hisense 5S Series dryer will reportedly refresh clothes in just 10 minutes.

In addition, using sensor technology the machine can monitor the temperature and rate of residual water, to save time and energy and provide a more efficient spin.

This dryer also comes with a ‘dry in under half the time’ programme which has a duration of 30 minutes and an anti-wrinkle function.

While the Hisense 5S Series Washer & Dryer features the auto dosing technology, has multiple fast-washing programmes.

It can also reportedly remove bacteria through Drum Clean, Soapbox Clean, and the Pure Jet function to wash away stains on the door and bellow, which is made out of sterile material.

Recognising the company’s commitment to sustainable business practices, Hisense has been awarded a Silver sustainability rating by Ecovadis.
