Global appliance brand Haier has introduced the Haier SBS 90 Series 7 fridge freezer which uses temperature zones and smart connection to improve energy efficiency.

The A rated side-by-side measures 900mm wide and provides 616 litre storage capacity and has been certified as using 59% less energy.

Designed to have an intuitive layout, it features a drawer with Humidity Control System (HCS) – a plant fibre membrane that maintains 90% humidity and reported to keep fruits and vegetables fresh twice as long.

In addition, for added safety, the fridge freezer has anti-tipping balconies designed to prevent bottles form falling and ‘Dayight’ intelligent backlit column that gradually illuminates to ease restocking or retrieving food.

Connection with Haier’s hOn app allows further control in food management for users, helping them to avoid waste.

The smart features includes Proactive Temperaturem where the hOn app adjusts the refrigerator temperature based on your shopping habits.

It uses real-time weather data to make sure your fridge is at the right temperature when you come back home from shopping.

In addition, it provides the Advanced Drink Assistant to help users serve beverages at the optimum temperature.

Users simply choose the beverage you wish to chill, and the hOn app will set the timing to cool the drink in your freezer.

Completing the list of smart features, the Haier SBS 90 Series 7 fridge freezer can create a digital inventory, with expiry dates, so users know what is inside the  fridge and when to use produce, as well as a shopping list.
