LG Electronics has launched the InstaView fridge freezer with MoodUP colour-changing technology in Europe.

It is the first LG two-door fridge-freezer to offer InstaView, following on from the introduction of InstaView side-by-side refrigeration, where two quick knocks on the InstaView panel,  illuminate the interior so users see inside without opening the door.

With MoodUp, users can customise the LED lighting inside the fridge door and change the colour of the freezer’s LED door panel.

In total, there are 438 possible colour combinations for the freezer door and InstaView lighting.

These are grouped into Colour Collection themes, along with colour presets, and controllable using the intuitive ThinQ app.

In addition, when one of the fridge’s doors has been left open for too long, the MoodUP panel blinks repeatedly (Door Open Alert) to let users know.

And at nighttime, the MoodUP panel glows (Nighttime Mood Light) whenever the fridge’s proximity sensor detects that someone is approaching, to ease navigation.

Along with its coloured lighting capabilities, the refrigerator also provides sound from a built-in Bluetooth speaker.

Located at the top of the fridge, the speaker can play songs from music streaming apps or from the Music Collection playlist on the ThinQ app.

The Music Collection’s Party Mode feature changes the colour of the MoodUP panel in sync with the tune being played. 

Completing the smart features, LG InstaView fridge freezer with MoodUP features the Cover Screen, a 4.3” LCD touch display to manage the features, including a range of temperature modes such as Party, Sound Sleep, or Vacation+.

Users can customise the Cover Screen to display temperature settings, the time, or the ThinQ Diary – a feature that enables users to leave a reminder for themselves or other members of the household.

The LG InstaView bottom freezer with MoodUP features a Smart Inverter Compressor and comes complete with a 10-year warranty.
