As part of its 50th anniversary celebrations, Italian appliance manufacturer Ilve has launched The Ultra Combi Oven which combines three cooking methods.
Using technology usually reserved for the commercial market, the oven boasts a combination mode, which allows the user to mix steam, microwave and conventional oven cooking.
Using the convection oven function with the microwave setting, food can be cooked quickly from the centre whilst the outside of food is kept crisp reducing cooking time.

While the steam function can be adjusted by 1°C, which is useful for sous-vide cooking.
The steam function uses a refillable water reservoir, accessible at the front of the oven.
Featuring a 36-litre, stainless steel cavity, the Ultra Combi oven comes complete with a temperature probe and a triple-glazed door.
The microwave setting operates from 270w to 1,000w with the lower setting designed for combination cooking with the conventional cooking setting.
It is operated by a TFT digital touch control, which can allow adjustment of the lighting, timer, temperature and function.
Ilve appliances will be on display at the Grand Designs exhibition from October 9-13.
Located near Venice, Ilve manufactures built-in ovens, hoods and range cookers and its appliances are available in the UK through distributor KitchenEx
