Appliance manufacturer Fisher & Paykel has announced its UK MD David Woolcott is leaving the company at the end of October, after five years in charge of the business.
The company will be led by executive vice president business development, Laurence Mawhinney, while the company is in the process of appointing a new managing director.
Mawhinney has been global executive and board member for Fisher & Paykel UK, Ireland & European operations for several years, and has over 30 years’ experience at the company.

He thanked David Woolcott for his work as managing director, as he said: “David has brought inspiring leadership while transforming the UK, Ireland and Europe and delivered many successes for the market during his time with Fisher & Paykel.
“David led from the front and lived out our human-centred values to create a remarkable culture. We have an outstanding team based in our Northampton and Dublin offices, who will continue to grow the brand across UK, Ireland and Europe.”
Fisher & Pakyel is set to open an Experience Centre in Wigmore Street, London, next year.
