She brings a wealth of experience in optimising brands online and converting clicks into sales and is applying her know-how to the Abode digital experience.
Mercedes Jones said: “I am absolutely delighted to become part of the Abode family and am excited to enhance our online presence so that we can have a bigger online footprint with even more integrated support for retailers, trade customers and homeowners at every touchpoint.
“Creating new ways which showcase the quality and innovation of Abode products to the next generation of customers is very important to me and I am excited to be on this new career adventure.”
Sorcha Baker joins Abode with experience in retail from her time as creative and brand manager at vintage clothes retailer We Are Cow.
She has opened concessions in Selfridges, Trafford and Selfridges Bullring following a year as store manager at the flagship Leeds branch.
Baker will develop marketing strategies covering photography and artwork through to social media campaigns, training and sales support.
She will work closely with colleagues in product, design, digital and marketing to ensure there is a clear roadmap to promote features and benefits.
Sorcha Baker commented: “I am so excited about collaborating with different teams to create compelling stories and artwork which will really bring home the Abode USPs and commitment to ESG as eco-conscious consumerism is a growing trend in our marketplace.
“I truly believe that by empowering individuals to buy from an ethical brand, they can have kitchens and bathrooms which are beautiful, practical and sustainable in line with building regulations and a luxurious lifestyle. I am a big fan of the Pronteau steaming hot water tap brand and look forward to championing it.”
These appointments follow on from Abode welcoming northern sales manager Karen Parker.
